Jervois

Day 11
A dash to the border. On the Donohue Highway across countless plains until finally crossing into the Northern Territory.

Queensland / Northern Territory Border
We had contemplated staying at Tobermorey Station but they were still recovering from recent floods so we decided to push on another 215kms to Jervois. We traversed some of the roughest road that Mike and I could remember.

Tobermorey Station
We clocked this Galah perched on the stack of an old steam boiler who tried his best to encourage us to stay.

We arrived in Jervois, a basic camp with minimal facilities, setup and settled in for the night.

The rough road had caused havoc, as Mike and Jan found that a toilet roll had worked itself loose and unravelled itself all through their camper.
